Healing Without Permission: Reclaiming Our Space as BIPOC Women

For centuries, BIPOC women have carried the weight of generations—navigating systems built without us in mind, and often healing in silence. We've been expected to survive, show up, and stay strong even when we’re unraveling inside. But healing is not something we should have to earn or explain.
Healing is your birthright.
Too often, healing spaces are filtered through Western frameworks that don’t reflect our lived experiences. They tell us to meditate when we need to scream. They push quiet when we carry inherited pain that wants to move through dance, prayer, storytelling, or tears.
At Pie Purifications, we’re unlearning the belief that we need to wait for someone to say “you’re allowed” before we begin to heal. We are re-centering ourselves—our rituals, our wisdom, our bodies, and our truths.
We heal in our own way. In our own rhythm. On our own terms.
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment, for someone to validate your pain or give you permission to feel—this is your invitation.
Take up space. Cry out loud. Heal loudly or softly, but begin. Because you don’t need permission to come home to yourself.
